Benfica centreback and Argentinian international Lisandro Lopez the latest recruit of Genoa
Lisandro Lopez will complete his move to Serie A, signing on a season-long loan with the option for the deal to be made permanent for a fee in the region of 3 million euros.
The 28-year old centreback, who had been closely courted by Nantes - managed by Portuguese coach Miguel Cardoso - rejoins the Italian top flight, having been on loan at Inter Milan at the end of last season, where he only played a single league match with the club.
The Argentinian, who has played 4 matches for his country, struggled to make a significant impact at Benfica, with whom he has played for since 2013, and his move away from the club was widely anticipated all summer.
