Turkish giants sign Chaves defender
Portugal's Chaves have completed the sale of Brazilian defender Marcão to Galatasaray.
The deal will cost the Turkish side approximately €4million.
The 22-year old, full name Marcos do Nascimento Teixeira, had played every single second of Chaves' league campaign this season - 16 matches, 1440 minutes - even captaining the side in the defeat to Nacional.
The 22-year old will therefore be sorely missed by the Primeira Liga outfit, who currently sit bottom of the league on just 9 points.
The last two matches have, however, ended in 0-0 draws, thanks in no small part to the Brazilian centreback.
He now starts a new adventure with Galatasaray, who sit 5th in the Turkish top flight.
It will undoubtedly be a big step up for the young ball-playing centreback, and his plight in the Turkish top flight will be watched with great intrigue.
