Nani mutually terminates his contract with Sporting - and has already joined his new club
Sporting legend Nani has rescinded his contract with the Portuguese club, bringing his third spell at Sporting to a premature end.
While Sporting receive no money for his services, they are set to save approximately 6 million euros, which would have been paid to Nani over the next season and a half in wages.
Nani has since joined up with his new club, moving overseas to start an entirely new project. It sees him move to Orlando City, who compete in the MLS in North America.
The 32-year old, who has played for Portugal 112 times, helped his country lift the European Championship trophy back in 2016.
Nani follows in the path of his former Manchester United teammate Wayne Rooney in heading to the MLS.
