Andre Gomes to sign for Everton permanently
Andre Gomes is to complete a move to Everton on a permanent basis after an agreement was reached with Barcelona.
Gomes, 25, spent last season on loan at the English club, and was deemed one of the top performers of the campaign by fans of the Merseyside club.
In total, Gomes played 27 league games last season from central midfield, and showed the commitment and general quality that made him an instant fan-favourite.
With his passing ability, physicality and defensive intuition on show, Everton, managed by compatriot Marco Silva, were always expected to make the move permanent, and have fended off interest from fellow English clubs to seal the deal.
It is believed that the fee is in the region of £25million, the Portuguese international having now agreed to the contract proposal.
