Braga complete signing of 36-time Portuguese international
Braga have started to strengthen their team in preparation for the new season.
Looking to close the gap on the Big Three in the country, Braga have elected to bring in experience, bringing in a 36 time international to offer leadership on and off the pitch.
It is Eduardo that has been recruited by Braga, the experienced shot stopper having been on the books of Chelsea since 2016.
Eduardo, 36, spent last season on loan at Vitesse, and featured regularly, playing 27 Eredivisie fixtures for the Dutch club.
The Portuguese goalkeeper, who was part of Portugal’s triumphant Euro 2016 squad, returns to “the club of his heart” for the third time, having represented the Primeira Liga outfit from 2006 to 2010, as well as having a season-long loan at the club in 2013-14.
Overall, he has played for Braga 118 times across all competitions, and will be hoping to add that in the coming season.
He is contracted to Braga until the summer of 2021.
