Watford sign young Portuguese defender
Watford have completed the signing of seventeen year old Leandro Paiva.
Paiva has signed on a five year contract with the English Premier League club and has already trained with their first team.
Having previously been on the books of Swiss side Neuchatel Xamax, Paiva was born in Switzerland and has spent the entirety of his career in the country of his birth.
However, Paiva, through his parents, is eligible to represent Portugal, and he is currently a Portugal U17 international.
Watford already have a Portuguese player in their side, with Domingos Quina on their books.
Quina, 19, was brought in in the summer of 2018, and played in 8 Premier League matches last season, scoring once.
