Official: Hector Herrera signs for three seasons
Mexican international Hector Herrera has found a new club just two days after his contract came to an end.
Herrera, who was Porto’s captain, left the club after 6 seasons at the club having arrived for 11 million euros back in 2013.
The 29-year old, who has represented Mexico 70 times in his career, now embarks on a new journey in Spain.
Unsurprisingly, he has joined Atletico Madrid, the La Liga runners-up now confirming the highly anticipated deal.
He joins for no cost at all, and signs on a three year contract
Herrera played a total of 53 matches for Porto last season along, scoring 9 and assisting 3 in the process as he finished as runner up in the Primeira Liga, Portuguese Cup and League Cup.
While at Porto, he won the Primeira Liga in 2017-18.
