From Deadline Day: Cedric Soares completes loan move to Arsenal
Arsenal completed the signing of Southampton right back Cedric Soares on loan until the end of the season.
Cedric, whose contract with Southampton expired at the end of the current campaign, will cost the Gunners £5million for the four months of service.
However, should Cedric impress, Arsenal will be in pole position to make the move permanent when his contract with the Saints comes to an end in July.
The 28 year old defender is currently injured, having picked up a knock in Southampton’s last league match against Crystal Palace.
It shouldn’t keep him out of action for too long though, an the 33-time Portugal international could be playing for Arsenal within the next couple of weeks.
