Krovinovic expected to return to West Brom this season, loan and transfer discussed
Having had a season to remember with West Bromwich Albion, Krovinovic is anticipated to extend his stay in England, with the newly promoted Premier League club in advanced negotiations with his parent club Benfica.
Krovinovic, 24, was a key player in West Brom's promotion push last campaign, forging a strong bond with former Sporting CP man Matheus Pereira, and they should be reunited again next season.
This is made easier by the fact that Krovinovic is not expected to be part of Jorge Jesus’ plans at Benfica for the 2020-21 campaign.
With negotiations ongoing, it is unclear is the Croatian midfielder will join on a permanent deal, or initially on loan.
In either case, West Brom are expected to have the opportunity to sign the player permanently, with Benfica willing to accept offers in the region of €10million.
Krovinovic impressed during his time at Benfica and eventually established himself as a key player in the team.
However, a long-term injury saw him lose his place upon his return, and he subsequently had to go on loan to secure increased game time.
