Moreirense sign 60-time Belgian international on free transfer
Moreirense have completed the signing of globally-recognised Belgian international Kevin Mirallas on a free transfer following the expiration of his contract with Turkish outfit Gaziantep FK.
The 34-year old, best known for his seven-year service at Everton F.C, worked with Moreirense manager Ricardo Sa Pinto at Gaziantep, who he represented 28 times in one season at the club.
His contract with the Turkish club expired at the end of the 2020-21 season, meaning the 60-time Belgian international has been without a club for six months.
Prior to his move to Gaziantep, Mirallas also had stints at Royal Antwerp, Fiorentina and Olympiakos, having also played for Saint-Etienne and Lille before his move to the English Premier League.
Mirallas arrives as Moreirense star Filipe Soares closes in on a move away from the club, set to sign for Greek giants PAOK.
