Full Time: Portugal 10-0 Kazakhstan
Portugal U17s got their European qualifying campaign off with a bang on Wednesday, hitting ten past Kazakhstan in Aveiro.
Portugal earned themselves a five-goal lead at half time courtesy of goals from Famana, Paulo Bernardo and Filipe Cruz, while Daniel Rodrigues also got a late first-half brace to round off an excellent opening 45 minutes.
Portugal came out firing in the second half too, with Ronaldo Camara scoring four minutes after the break, getting his second of the game in the 70th minute, while Gerson Sousa, Tiago Tomas and Gonçalo Batalha also chipped in with a goal each.
It completed a stunning afternoon for Portugal, who sit clear at the top of group 11, knowing they now have both Belarus and Wales - who drew against each other yesterday - in the coming week.
Portugal only have to finish in the top two in the group to guarantee progression into the next round of qualification for the Euro U17 competition.
