Talisca's future resolved with the Brazilian leaving Benfica permanently
Talisca's future lies away from Lisbon as the Brazilian midfielder is set to make his loan to Guangzhou Evergrande permanent.
The fee will be in the region of €19million with Benfica having already received €5million for the initial loan move in the summer.
Talisca had become something of a villain in the eyes of Benfica fans after the midfielder wildly celebrated the goal he scored for Besiktas against the Lisbon club in the last minute of their Champions League encounter, while actually still being on loan at the Turkish club from Benfica at the time.
Talisca leaving Benfica permanently therefore doesn't come as a surprise, but having had several English Premier League clubs linked with him over the past couple of seasons, the fact he's staying in China raises a few more eyebrows.
In total, Talisca played for Benfica 78 times, scoring 20 goals in the process.
