Benfica star youngster Joao Felix signs new long-term deal with astronomical record release clause

Benfica hot prospect Joao Felix has renewed his deal with Benfica that will see the 18-year old tied to the club until 2023.

The Portuguese U21 international has played for Benfica 8 times this season - including two Champions League outings - and has found the net on two occasions already.

Luis Filipe Vieira revealed in a recent televised interview that Felix would renew with the club with a significant release clause, and the deal has finally been confirmed.

And it has now been determined that the release clause is now a huge 120 million euros, a Portuguese record valuation.

The attacking midfielder is one of the latest Benfica youth products to make it onto the main stage, with several more expected to follow in the future.
