Braga star Bruno Xadas' move to Monaco is OFF following a failed medical
In a drastic twist to the tale, Braga winger Xadas will not be making his highly anticipated move to Monaco, with an issue found with the player's foot.
The deal was all but completed - the fee of 25 million euros was agreed, 60% of which would go to Braga, 40% due to Gestifute, but because of the medical examination, Xadas is unable to follow in the steps of his compatriots such as Joao Moutinho, Rony Lopes, Ivan Cavaleiro and Bernardo Silva.
The player will now undergo surgery to rectify the issue found, with a six-week recovery period then required.
Xadas will, however, first go on international duty with the Portugal U21 national team, having been called up by Rui Jorge earlier today.
