Portugal are the only nation to have more than one goal on the shortlist for the Puskas award as Cristiano Ronaldo and Ricardo Quaresma are both still in the running for the best goal of the year.

Ronaldo remains in contention due to the goal he scored in Europe's most elite club competition, when he scored an outstanding overhead kick for Real Madrid against Juventus in the Champions League, while Ricardo Quaresma is on the shortlist for his scarcely believable long-range trivela against Iran in the World Cup this summer.

The announcement for the winner will be made on 24th September.
