Pep Guardiola praises Bernardo Silva: "Not seen a performance like that in a long time"
Bernardo Silva had a game to remember yesterday in his side's 2-1 victory over Liverpool.
The win ended Liverpool's unbeaten start to the season and closed the gap between the title rivals to just 4 points.
And Bernardo was arguably the best player of them all, his tenacity and work rate not going unnoticed by his manager Pep Guardiola.
He said: "Bernardo is incredible. I’ve not seen a performance like that, in all terms, in a long time.
"He’s clean, he’s clever, he fought against Van Dijk. He was incredible.”
It has since been revealed that Bernardo Silva made an incredible 10 ball recoveries in the game, more than any other player on the pitch, and ran a startling 13.7km, more than any other Premier League player has managed in any given game this campaign.
