OFFICIAL: Portugal lineup to take on Lithuania
Fernando Santos has unsurprisingly named an attacking starting eleven to take on minnows Lithuania.
In a match Portugal simply have to win, Santos has made no surprises in the goalkeeping department either, with Rui Patricio named in between the sticks.
In front of him, in the absence of veteran defender Pepe, who sustained an injury at club level with Porto, Rui Fonte partners Ruben Dias at centreback.
With Nelson Semedo pulling out of the team with injury, in-form Leicester City man Ricardo Pereira starts on the right of the back four, Mario Rui the other full back.
In midfield, Santos has gone for Ruben Neves in the more defensive midfield role instead of Danilo Pereira. With William Carvalho not in the squad due to injury, Pizzi starts instead.
Bruno Fernandes and Bernardo Silva are the players who then likely start on the flanks, Benfica man Rafa Silva out of contention with an injury of his own.
Injuries plagued the attack of the team further, with regular Gonçalo Guedes sidelined alongside João Felix, while Cristiano Ronaldo was also a doubt. The Juventus man starts though, Ronaldo partnering Gonçalo Paciencia up front.
