Andre Silva close to completing move away from AC Milan
AC Milan striker Andre Silva is closing in on a move away from Italy.
The Portugal international has had a difficult time at Milan, failing to make a significant impression at the club, and was loaned out to La Liga outfit Sevilla last campaign.
However, AC Milan have given up on the 23-year old, who they signed for 35 million euros back in 2017, and are set to sell him to Leonardo Jardim’s Monaco on a permanent deal.
The agreement between the clubs is close, and the contract proposal put forward by Monaco is sufficient to convince Silva to join the Portuguese contingent in France.
Jorge Mendes has been working hard to secure Silva’s exit from Milan, and Monaco appear to be the next destination.
He will join Rony Lopes, Gelson Martins and Dinis Almeida at the club, while Adrien Silva and Joao Mario remain potential targets for the Ligue 1 club too.
Monaco had a testing season last campaign, and only finished 2 points off the drop zone after another summer of seeing key players depart the club.
Andre Silva also comes off the back of a very challenging season, where he scored 9 goals in 27 La Liga outings.
