Take a look at the latest Portugal squad Fernando Santos has announced for the three upcoming October games

Fernando Santos has today announced the latest Portugal squad ahead of the three fixtures taking place in October.

A friendly match against friendly rivals Spain is followed by clashes with world champions France and perennial competitors Sweden in the UEFA Nations League in what will be a hectic 8-day window starting on the 7th October as Portugal look to make a statement against Spain before continuing their efforts to retain their Nations League crown.

With two big competitive matches to come, in addition to a highly-anticipated Iberian derby, Fernando Santos has unsuprisingly selected a strong outfit, with a few changes and additions to the last squad.

With five players from Wolverhampton Wanderers, Nuno Espirito Santo’s side alone have more representatives in the squad than the entirety of the Portuguese Primeira Liga (4).

Full squad:

Goalkeepers - Rui PATRICIO (Wolves), Anthony LOPES (Lyon), Rui SILVA (Granada)

Defenders - Ruben DIAS (Manchester City), PEPE (Porto), Jose FONTE (Lille), Ruben SEMEDO (Olympiakos), Joao CANCELO (Manchester City), Nelson SEMEDO (Wolves), Raphael GUERREIRO (Borussia Dortmund), Mario RUI (Napoli)

Midfielders - DANILO Pereira (Porto), Ruben NEVES (Wolves), William CARVALHO (Real Betis), Joao MOUTINHO (Wolves), Renato SANCHES (Lille), Sergio Oliveira (Porto), Bruno FERNANDES (Manchester United).

Forwards - BERNARDO Silva (Manchester City), Joao FELIX (Atletico Madrid), Diogo JOTA (Liverpool), Daniel PODENCE (Wolves), RAFA Silva (Benfica), Francisco TRINCAO (Barcelona), Cristiano RONALDO (Juventus), Andre SILVA (Eintracht Frankfurt).
