No club in the world had players play more minutes for Portugal in 2019 than Wolves
Across the entirety of 2019, no club saw their players play more minutes for the Portugal national team than Wolverhampton Wanderers.
In 2019, Portugal played a total of 10 matches, all of which were competitive fixtures, and, overall, 19 clubs saw their players represented on the international stage by the Portugal national team.
And, of all those 19 clubs, Wolves were the side that saw their players play the combined most minutes for Portugal, racking up a total of 1,551 minutes across the ten games through the quartet of Ruben Neves, Joao Moutinho, Rui Patricio and Diogo Jota.
Even the likes of Benfica (1,418 minutes), Porto (990) and Sporting (608) failed to match Wolves’ total, while only one other team in addition to Wolves and Benfica managed to break the 1,000 minute mark (Juventus).
All 608 minutes of Sporting’s representation in the national team came through one player - Bruno Fernandes. The same is true for the vast majority of the teams on this list, including the likes of Real Betis (William Carvalho), Valencia (Goncalo Guedes), Borussia Dortmund (Raphael Guerreiro) and Barcelona (Nelson Semedo).
The side with the fewest minutes of representation was Lokomotiv Moscow (3 minutes - all from Joao Mario).
