Andre Gomes released from Portugal national team
Everton midfielder Andre Gomes has had to pull out of international duty with Portugal.
The former Barcelona man, who won the 2016 European Championship with Portugal in France four years ago, has been released from the national team and will therefore not travel to Sweden for the upcoming Nations League match.
The Federation released a statement saying that the player was made unavailable by the FPF Health and Performance Centre.
Gomes was an unused substitute in Portugal’s clash with Croatia, with Portugal running out 4-1 winners in emphatic style.
