Porto concede crushing injury time equaliser in dramatic clash with Manchester United
FC Porto surrendered their slender advantage over the ten men of Manchester United in second half stoppage time to remain without a win in the Europa League this season.
After falling 0-2 down in the opening 20 minutes of the match thanks to Rashford and Hoijlund squeezing two efforts past a frustrated Diogo Costa, FC Porto managed to pull back to level terms before the half time break, Pepe rifling home on the rebound before Samu continued his excellent start to life in Portugal with a well-placed header.
Porto started the second half strongly too, Samu once again the man of the moment, bamboozling de Ligt at the near post before firing into the roof of the net from a low Pepe cross into the area.
Porto had further opportunities to extend their lead, and would have felt confident in getting the job done once Bruno Fernandes saw red after receiving his second booking following a high boot.
However, as Porto retreated closer and closer to their own goal, Man Utd managed to build momentum despite the man disadvantage, and eventually managed to find the breakthrough in the 91st minute, Maguire heading home from a corner.
