Ruben Neves’ outrageous volley was voted as the EFL goal of 2019.
The goal came against Derby Country, when Ruben Neves scooped the ball up before thwacking it from long range. The ball ultimately dipped powerfully into the top corner, giving the goalkeeper no chance.
It was one of several long-range goals that Neves scored last season, and was selected as one of the shortlisted goals of the year alongside four other impressive strikes.
In high competition, Neves’ goal, which came against Derby County, was selected as the very best of them all.
Wolves ultimately went on to win the match 2-0, sealing the league double against Derby. Diogo Jota scored the other goal in the game.
