Benfica hot prospect, formerly of Real Madrid, completes move to Monterrey
Benfica's 19-year old right back, Paolo Medina, who came through Real Madrid's highly-esteemed academy, has moved to Mexican side Monterrey.
Medina, who continuously impressed for Benfica U19s in the UEFA Youth League, has returned to his native land, signing for Liga MX side Monterrey, who have qualified for this year's North American Champions League after finishing top of the Torneo Apertura and Torneo Clausura Aggregate table.
Having shown great pace and technical ability from right back as he helped Benfica U19s win the league title last season, and with his excellent attacking prowess earning him praise from Benfica fans around the world, Medina leaves the club much earlier than many fans would have liked to have seen.
