The Fonte brothers are reunited after Rui Fonte completes move away from Fulham
Rui Fonte has joined his brother Jose at Lille OSC on a season-long loan.
Jose Fonte himself only joined Lille earlier this summer, moving from Chinese outfit Dalian Yifang, while his younger brother Rui made the move on the final day of the European transfer window.
Rui, 28, had an unspectacular season with Fulham last campaign, his one and only season with the club after joining from Braga for £7million, where he played in 27 Championship games, scoring just three goals in the process.
While both Jose and Rui Fonte have been on the books of both Benfica and Sporting in their careers, the two players, before this point, had never played for the same club at the same time, so it will be a new experience for both of them.
Rui has never represented Portugal's senior team before, while his 34-year old centreback brother has been capped 35 times at the top level of international football.
