Manuel Fernandes signs for new club after contract with Krasnodar came to an end
Manuel Fernandes’ stay at Krasnodar lasted just one year after the 15-time Portugal international saw his contract come to an end by mutual consent.
The 34-year old, who has previously represented Everton, Benfica and Valencia, played 19 games for the Russian Premier League outfit last season, scoring 3 goals, but agreed not to extend his stay at the club.
Instead, he has returned to Turkey, signing a two-year contract with Kayserispor, who currently occupy 10th place in the Turkish top flight, with 6 points from 4 games.
Fernandes’ first stint in Turkey was on the books of the prestigious Besiktas, who he represented for 4 years between 2011 and 2014.
