Porto closing in on the signing of Maritimo star Nanu
Just a couple of days after Nanu scored a stunning goal against FC Porto to help his side to victory, the reigning Portuguese champions are to complete the signing of the right-sided Maritimo star.
Nanu, who scored Maritimo’s third in a shock 2-3 win over Porto on Saturday, had previously been linked with a move to SC Braga, but it is Porto that are going to win the race to sign the right wingback.
The 26 year old, who has represented Guinea-Bissau on 4 occasions, played the entirety of all three of Maritimo’s matches this season, having played all but one of Maritimo’s Primeira Liga games last campaign too
Nanu is expected to sign for Porto on a five year contract, and will mark yet another domestic signing made by Sergio Conceicao’s side, who have previously brought in Mehdi Taremi from Rio Ave, Zaidu Sanusi from Santa Clara, Carraca from Boavista, Claudio Ramos from Tondela and Toni Martinez from Famalicao in this window alone.
Nanu is expected to cost a fee in the region of 5 million euros, and will sign on a long-term contract.
