Young Benfica winger Jota has been expected to be on the move throughout this window, and as we reach deadline day, his destination is finally known.
The 21-year old forward struggled for game time in Lisbon last season, typically only making late cameo appearances for Benfica, and after the Portuguese giants completed the signing of various high-profile names such as Darwin Nunez, Luca Waldschmidt, Everton Cebolinha and Pedrinho, a loan move was deemed necessary for the Portugal U21 international to continue his development.
And Jota will be following Tomas Tavares by heading to Spain, joining Real Valladolid on a season-long loan deal.
