Porto complete the signing of Carraça
Porto have completed the signing of former Boavista right wingback Carraça.
The 27-year old, who was a key figure for Boavista last season as he helped his side to a 12th place finish, joins on a free transfer, and has sparked speculation regarding the future of Porto’s highly promising right back Tomas Esteves.
Carraca was almost everpresent for Boavista last campaign, playing 30 league games as he scored twice and assisted three from right back and the right wing. Attacking-minded, Carraca is the perfect modern-day full-back, and should prove a strong asset to the Portuguese champions.
Having come through the Boavista youth team, he has spent his entire career at the Porto-based club, though did have a couple of spells out on loan, at fellow Portuguese outfits Tondela and Santa Clara.
