Tondela's Claudio Ramos completes move to Porto
Portugal international goalkeeper Claudio Ramos has completed his move to Portuguese champions FC Porto.
The shot-stopper, who has been on the books of Tondela since 2011, was available on a free transfer after his contract with the club came to an end this summer.
He signs with Porto on a four year deal that should keep him with the club until 2024. He will be competing with current Porto number one Marchesin for a starting berth for the side that completed the domestic double this campaign.
Ramos, 28, had an outstanding career with Tondela, being a key figure in several great relegation escapes in keeping Tondela in the top flight against the odds every single season since they were promoted to the Primeira Liga for the first time in their history in 2015.
He played 29 league matches for Tondela in the most recent campaign, captaining the side on almost every occasion.
His one cap with the national team came as a late substitute in a 3-1 friendly win over Scotland, where he conceded the goal that the hosts scored in stoppage time.
