Boavista set to sign Honduras star compared to Karim Benzema
Boavista are on the verge of completing the signing of Honduras star Jorge Benguché from Olimpia.
Though the 24-year old is not a well-known figure in Europe, the Honduran international striker, who has already represented his country 3 times and scored twice, has come off the back of an excellent campaign, helping his side, Club Deportivo Olimpia, to 1st place in the Honduran Liga Nacional Apertura, scoring an exceptional 22 goals in 37 matches for Olimpia across 2019.
Though the Honduran league may not be considered the highest standard of competition, Benguche has plenty of admirers, having even earned comparisons to Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema.
He was linked to high-profile clubs such as Serie A side Cagliari and Scottish champions Celtic. Boavista, however, are the side that are set to capture Benguche, and it should be an excellent signing for the Portuguese outfit.
Boavista are preparing for a stunning transfer window, targeting the signing of Bruno Alves and Javi Garcia, while they have also been linked with a move for former Porto, Barcelona and Chelsea star Ricardo Quaresma.
