Ricardo Horta attracting interest from abroad
After a stellar season with SC Braga, in which he scored 24 goals in 52 appearances across all competitions, Ricardo Horta is a player in demand.
And Sky Germany are reporting that Champions League semi-finalists RB Leipzig are one of the clubs that are actively pursuing the signature of the Braga star.
The right-footed left winger, who has been with Braga since 2017, was critical for Braga last campaign, having a particularly strong end to the season, getting 8 goals in Braga’s final 14 league games, while he also led his club to glory in the Portuguese League Cup, scoring 4 goals in 5 games as they won Portugal’s secondary cup competition.
The 25-year old, who has played for Portugal on one occasion, is not a player that Braga are actively looking to sell, but would be willing to entertain offers for their talisman, particularly with Fabio Martins back at the club after a loan spell with Famalicao, and with Nico Gaitan and Iuri Madeiros having signed to join the likes of Galeno as options on the wing.
Leipzig have reportedly already made an offer in the region of 13 million euros for Horta, which is not expected to come close to the asking price of SC Braga.
Braga’s star striker Paulinho is another player attracting interest, but Carlos Carvalhal’s side are holding out for 30 million euros for the uncapped Portuguese forward, who also had a sensational season last campaign.
