Cristiano Ronaldo off the mark for Juventus
Cristiano Ronaldo led Juventus to victory in Serie A, grabbing both goals as his side beat Sassuolo 2-1 to hop back up to first place in the league.
Ronaldo, who had yet to score for Juventus this season, bagged his first goal of the afternoon just after the break, tapping in to the open net after the ball fell to him, a real poacher's effort to open up his goalscoring account in Italy.
And, like London buses, having waited so long for the first, two came along at once for Ronaldo, who doubled his tally with a smooth finish into the bottom corner after sprinting forward on the counter attack, a much more aesthetic, memorable goal for Ronaldo, who seemed full of confidence after finally getting off the mark.
Juventus next travel to Frosinone, where you wouldn't bet against Ronaldo adding to his tally, with Frosinone having just lost 5-0 at home at the hands of Sampdoria.
