Renato Sanches hints at potential Bayern Munich exit
Renato Sanches has finally started to find his feet at Bayern Munich - but leaving the club is still a possibility, according to the player himself.
Sanches has played for the German giants 11 times in the league so far this season having been loaned out to Swansea City the season before, where he only featured in 12 games over the course of the entire campaign.
He also played the entirety of Bayern’s Champions League clash against former club Benfica, where he scored a goal in a 2-0 victory.
However, with most of those appearances being off the bench for the German champions, Sanches, while pleased to be involved in the first team again after that disappointing loan to Swansea, is still not wholly satisfied with his role at the club.
In an interview with Sport1, Renato said “I’m happy, but obviously I want to play more regularly. I feel good. I’m ready to play and show how good I am.”
“The coach is doing his job; if I play well, he of course will be happy with me. If I play poorly, it’s the opposite. The coach is satisfied with me though, because I feel ready and am playing well.”
The 21-year old then went on to suggest that leaving the club remained an option: “Exit? I only want what is best for me. If the best is to stay, I stay. If it is best for me to leave, then I’ll leave.”
