Could Bernardo Silva be heading to Barcelona?
Lionel Messi is the talk of the market as the bombshell revelation of his desire to leave Barcelona reverberates across the globe.
And it is English side Manchester City that are widely assumed to be best places to sign the 33-year old Argentine, boasting the financial muscle power to secure his signature.
The fact that City are managed by former Barcelona boss Pep Guardiola also vastly increases their chances of winning the battle for one of the greatest players on the planet.
Should any deal materialise, Manchester City will likely have to pay significant funds despite suggestions that Messi has been looking to trigger a clause in his contract that would allow him to leave for free.
And according to reports in Spain, Manchester City will be willing to offer Bernardo Silva in addition to 100 million euros for the services of Lionel Messi.
Such a move would see Silva link up with compatriot Francisco Trincao, who recently completed his move to Spain from Braga for 30 million euros.
