Buffon's agent speaks about potential move to Porto

Gianluigi Buffon has been linked with a move to Porto - and his agent has commented on the speculation.

Buffon is currently a free agent after his contract with PSG came to an end at the end of last season.

As a result, Buffon has been linked with a range of clubs, including former club Parma, fellow Italian side Atalanta, English Championship side Leeds United, and FC Porto.

It is believed that Porto are the side that are currently best placed to sign the 41-year old shot-stopper, and his agent Silvano Martina has admitted that Porto are an interesting proposal.

“We still have no agreement with anyone. FC Porto are a good option, but before a baby is born, you need to grow a tummy” suggesting that a lot of considerations still need to be taken into account before a decision is reached.

After a season of mixed fortunes at Paris Saint Germain came to an end, Buffon is looking for a club where he will have the chance to play more regularly, and being given the chance to challenge for silverware in Portugal is one of the major factors attracting him to Porto.
