João Felix, Andre Silva, Francisco Trincão: The latest transfer reports from across the continent
The window is open and the transfer speculation is building up, with Portuguese and Primeira Liga players linked with moves all across Europe.
Firstly, we start with Pepe. Despite reports that the Portuguese centreback was set to turn down a return to Porto in favour of joining Monaco, the veteran defender is still expected to make a comeback to the Portuguese champions this window.
Another Portuguese player that has been linked with a move today is João Felix, the 19-year old star who performed so admirably in Benfica's 4-2 victory over Rio Ave.
And the teenage sensation has been linked with none other than Barcelona. According to Mundo Deportivo, the Spanish giants even sent scouts to the match yesterday to watch Felix - and would have undoubtedly been impressed by what they saw.
Felix, who has a release clause of 65 million euros, is also said to be one of Barcelona's main targets by Mundo Deportivo, as well as being in the sights of the likes of PSG and Real Madrid.
Meanwhile, Italian press Calcio News have surprisingly reported that Andre Silva may be on his way to Italian giants Juventus.
The Portuguese striker is one of the best performers in the Spanish league this season, grabbing 8 goals in 16 games for Sevilla, and it's no wonder that some of Europe's big clubs are interested.
Over in England, The Sun report that Manchester United are facing competition to complete the signing of highly rated Porto defender Eder Militão, with Liverpool and Real Madrid interested in the 20-year old.
The same paper also claimed that English side Wolves, managed by Nuno Espirito Santo, were battling it out with Juventus to sign Braga wonderkid Francisco Trincão, the 19-year old one of the hottest prospects in Portuguese football after that tremendous showing at the U19 European Championship.
In other news, Portugal's O Jogo are reporting that Belenenses are keen on bringing in out-of-favour Porto striker Rui Pedro.
And there have also been reports that Everton are looking to sign Sporting star midfielder Bruno Fernandes, who has a release clause of 100 million euros.
However, Marco Silva's side would likely be able to sign him for about 40 million euros.
Additionally, Braga striker Dyego Sousa, who also happens to be the top scorer in Portugal's top flight, is believed to be a target of Benfica, but Braga president Antonio Salvador denied any offer being put in for the target man, and stated that the Brazilian is not for sale.
And finally onto Hector Herrera, whose contract runs out at the end of the season. According to Sportitalia, Herrera is edging closer to having his future resolved, with an agreement in place for him to join Italian side Inter Milan.
However, there are conflicting reports from the country, with Tutto Mercato Web reporting that the Italian’s are now facing competition from English outfit Wolves, but also need to see off competition from Roma, Arsenal, Sevilla, Atletico Madrid and Inter Milan to secure his signature.
