Joel Pereira recalled by Manchester United
Vitoria Setubal have confirmed that goalkeeper Joel Pereira has been recalled by his parent club Manchester United, bringing his season-long loan to the Portuguese club to a premature end.
Pereira had found his game time increasingly more sporadic in recent weeks, playing just 1 of Setubal’s last 6 league games, and the Premier League side have therefore chosen to recall the goalkeeper.
One can speculate that his recalling is to allow him to be loaned out to a club where he'll be guaranteed more game time.
One club that have shown interest in the Portuguese goalkeeper is Reading FC, and are one of several options available for the 22-year old.
His contract with Manchester United expires in 2021.
