Leeds United sign Benfica target alongside former Benfica star
Leeds United have completed the signing of long-term Benfica target Robin Koch from German Bundesliga side Freiburg.
The German central defender joins the newly-promoted English Premier League outfit for a fee of £13million and signs a four-year contract.
The 24-year old centreback has played twice for Germany, and played for Freiburg a total of 87 time during his three-year spell at the club, helping his side to an impressive 8th place finish last season.
The signing of Koch follows on from the recruitment of former Benfica striker Rodrigo, who joined Leeds for a club-record fee of £27million. The 29-year old forward also joined on a four-year contract.
Rodrigo had been on the books of Valencia, having joined from Benfica in 2015 for 30 million euros, and has represented Spain 22 times.
