Hulk dreams of a return to FC Porto
Former Porto star Hulk has left the door wide open to the prospect of returning to Porto in the future.
Now 33, Hulk, who currently plays for SIPG, arrived at Porto back in 2008 and went on to play 169 games for the club.
He scored 77 goals and bagged 61 assists across all competitions for the Portuguese outfit, before being sold to Zenit St Petersburg for a fee rising to 60 million euros in 2012.
It was fours years later that he was on the move again, joining Chinese Super League outfit Shanghai SIPG for an equally impressive 58 million euros when aged 29. He’s still with the club now.
However, in a conversation for the program “FC Porto em casa” (FC Porto at home), Hulk admitted that returning to Porto is something he can definitely envisage.
“When you are with a club and then leave for another country, you make great friends. Of course there is always that desire to return.”
“The first word I have when I speak about Porto is happiness. I have already made clear several times. Porto lives in my heart and to return would be a dream.”
